The Train Wreck We Call Wall Street

Greed is good.
--Gordon Gekko

If you think the folks at AIG have been tarred and feathered enough for one week (or are simply sick of hearing about it), you can always revisit the villains of a couple months ago: the guys who "create nothing". Of course a lot of those folks are out of work now so they're not much fun to kick in the head. Instead, maybe you want to cash out the last few bucks in your anemic mutual funds account and buy yourself a copy of Oliver Stone's Wall Street (20th Anniversary Edition) DVD. You'll not only be mesmerized by the cocky, high-rolling excess that is so passe nowadays, but you'll sagely nod your head and then sit back in satisfaction as Gekko and company skate ever closer to their final comeuppance. "How much is enough, Gordon?" asks a young Charlie Sheen of his former mentor.
If you've still got time on your hands, watch it one more time with Stone's commentary, and then watch the other extras on Disc Two. You'll hear some juicy tidbits about Michael Douglas not knowing his lines, Stone's criticism of Darryl Hannah and Sean Young, and a bunch of 80's yahoos talking about how they want to be Gordon Gekko when they grow up. From the state of the country today, it seems like many of them got their wish.
